Catch the No. 57 tram from the corner of Elizabeth and Flinders St. Trams stop at Flemington Drive off Epsom Road.
Buses
Private charter buses should enter at Stables Drive (off Smithfield Rd at Gatehouse Drive Intersection) and will be directed to the bus parking area.

Santa's Christmas Spectacular Helicopters Arrival
Melbourne Cup Helicopters are the exclusive helicopter provider for Santa's Christmas Spectacular. City (Melbourne CBD) to Flemington (Helipad). Shelter provided at Flemington helipad. VIP Buggy transfer from helipad to main entrance.

Sandown is situated 25kms from the city along the princess Highway and regarded as the premier entertainment complex in Melbourne's south-east. The course is easily reached by car or train. Melway reference : 80 C9

By car
There is ample car parking at the course. Sandown Racecourse is located 25 kilometres from Melbourne's city centre and can be reached by following Dandenong Road/Princes Highway and also via Springvale Road. The turn-off to the racecourse is clearly sign posted. Access is also available via the Monash Freeway. Take the Springvale Road exit (turning right into Springvale Road from Ferntree Gully Road), turn left onto the Princes Highway, then take the racecourse turn-off. There is ample complimentary car parking available at the course.
By Train
There are regular trains from Flinders St to Sandown Park running from 8am, check time table as not all trains stop. and also regular trains returning to the city from 3pm.

Free Carparking at Christmas Spectacular Event Site Reserve Area's 1- 6 TURN LEFT Hardiman St Entrance Bundoora Park.
Public Transport
Tram
Catch the Route 86 Tram - Docklands to Bundoora RMIT (Plenty Rd/McKimmies Rd).
Stop 61 on Plenty Road stops opposite the main entrance to Bundoora Park (one stop after La Trobe University).
A short 2 - 3 minute walk to the nearest playground/BBQ area, or a further 7 - 10 minute walk along River Red Gum Ave to Coopers Settlement.
Bus
Catch Route 563 - Greensborough - Northland (via Apollo Parkways - South Morang - Mill Park - Bundoora - Mt. Cooper).
Nearest stop: On Plenty Road 50 metres from the corner of Fairway Drive.
Alternatively, catch a bus to the La Trobe University bus interchange and walk an additional 5-7 minutes along Plenty Road to Bundoora Park.

Plenty Rd and High St are the major cycling corridors within Darebin, travelling North to South of the municipality.
Specific bike lanes are available on Murray Rd and Gower St, Preston or Dundas St and Victoria Rd, Thornbury.
